The Isuzu 4ZB1 is a 1.8 litre four cylinder petrol engine with a single overhead camshaft and eight valves. The 4ZB1 is naturally aspirated, and it was built from the mid 1980s into the early 1990s. It powered the Isuzu Gemini and the Shuttle van, and parts here are also filed under Rodeo because the sets cover the wider 4Z family.We stock 7 parts for the 4ZB1.
4ZB1 gasket sets
A KP full gasket set and a VRS set are both listed, so you can order for a complete strip or for head work alone. A Manta extractor gasket is also listed. It covers the 2.0 litre 4ZC1, the 2.3 litre 4ZD1 and the 2.6 litre 4ZE1. The 4ZB1 drives its camshaft by belt, not chain, so do the belt while the front cover is off.
4ZB1 bearings and rings
Main bearing sets, conrod bearing sets and a piston ring set are stocked for the 4ZB1. Read the size stamp on the old shells before you order, because these sets are cut for standard and for reground journals.
Water pump for the 4ZB1
One water pump is listed. It is worth fitting with the gasket sets above rather than pulling the front of the engine apart twice.
