The Subaru EA63 is a 1,361 cc horizontally opposed four with pushrods and two valves per cylinder. The EA63 is carburetted and naturally aspirated, on an 82 mm bore and a 64.4 mm stroke. Subaru built it through the 1970s for the Leone 1400, and Willys files these parts under the L Series as well. Bearings, bushes and one ring set bring the EA63 to 4 parts.

Main and conrod bearing sets

An NDC main bearing set is listed for the EA63 and the EA71, and an NDC conrod set adds the EA62 and the EA81. The EA71 and EA81 are 92 mm bore engines where the EA63 sits at 82 mm. What those sets share is the crank, not the bore. Check the shell width against the ones you take out before fitting.

EA63 piston rings

The NVP ring set is the only line boxed for the EA63 on its own, and the 82 mm bore is the reason. A set off the EA71 or EA81 is cut 10 mm larger and will not go near this block.

The rest of the EA63 stock

An NDC pin bush set for the small end runs from the EA62 through to the EA82. Willys files it under the Brumby and Leone sections, which is how the supplier catalogues the range rather than a fitment claim.
