Diesel Tuning Brisbane
We tune diesels at our Oxley workshop, 291 Cliveden Avenue, about 15 minutes from the CBD. Most tunes are done in a day. You drop the vehicle off in the morning and drive it home that afternoon, road tested and signed off. Every tune is built for your vehicle on our dyno, and the Oxley team is rated 4.9 on Google.
What you get
An Oxley tune, start to finish
- A check before we tune. We look over the vehicle first. If the real problem is a service, a leaking intercooler pipe or worn injectors, we tell you instead of selling you a tune.
- A firm quote before you book. Tell us the vehicle and how you use it. If it needs supporting work first, we tell you straight.
- A calibration for your vehicle. We write the fuel, boost and timing maps for your engine and how you use it. It is not a file copied from the last car.
- Dyno and road test. The tune is developed on the dyno and checked on the road before you collect the vehicle.
- Switchable maps if you want them. Run a towing map for the weekend and an economy map for the week.

Towing and touring
Built for load, not for a dyno number. The extra torque goes into the low and middle of the rev range, so the gearbox holds a gear on a long climb instead of hunting, and exhaust temperatures stay in a safe range. If you tow often, ask us about a transmission cooler too.
Power
More pull when you put your foot down and less turbo lag, set up so the engine still lasts.
Economy
Cleaner, smoother running at part throttle. Your right foot still decides the final fuel figure, but a healthy engine on a good tune works less hard at 100 km/h.

It depends on the engine, its condition and any parts already fitted. Check indicative gains for your make, model and engine, and we confirm the real numbers on our dyno.

Frequently asked questions
Can you tune my diesel for Brisbane traffic?
Yes. Stop-start driving through Milton, Fortitude Valley or the Gateway Motorway at peak hour needs sharp response off idle and smooth turbo spool, not top-end power. We set the tune up so the vehicle pulls away cleanly and sits in traffic without hunting gears, and keep exhaust temperatures in a safe range on short, hot runs.
Will a tune help on weekend trips out of Brisbane?
Yes. Stronger mid-range torque and better throttle control mean fewer downshifts on hills and a more relaxed drive at highway speed. We rewrite the factory fuel, boost and timing maps rather than clipping a box onto the wiring.
Is tuning safe for towing around South East Queensland?
It is when the tune is built for towing. Towing a boat or caravan out to the Somerset or up through the ranges loads the driveline hard, so we aim for steady torque low in the rev range and watch exhaust temperatures under load. If you tow often, ask us about a transmission cooler.
Will I use less fuel?
Most owners see better economy on steady highway runs, such as the Ipswich Motorway and the Bruce Highway. The gain comes from cleaner combustion and better part-throttle response. It only holds if the engine is healthy, so we check filters, injectors and servicing first.
Can you retune after I fit an exhaust, intercooler or snorkel?
Yes, and it is usually worth doing. Your original tune was built for the old airflow. We rewrite it for the new parts, then check it on the dyno and the road.
