The Nissan RD28T is a 2.8 litre SOHC inline six diesel, turbocharged and running indirect injection rather than common rail. Nissan built it from the mid 1980s into the 2000s. The turbo version went into the GQ Y60 and GU Y61 Patrol, and into Cedric and Laurel sedans in Japan. We list 6 parts under the RD28T, weighted to bottom end rebuild work.
RD28T main and conrod bearings
ACL conrod shells and a TDC main bearing set are listed. The TDC number is multi-fit and also covers the RB20, RB25, RB26 and RB30 petrol sixes.
Pistons and oil pump
A TIK piston set is listed for the RD28T, along with a YSK oil pump repair kit. That kit supplies gears only, so a scored pump housing still needs the complete pump. The RD28T turns its camshaft on a toothed timing belt, not a chain.
Other RD28T stock
A Powerbond harmonic balancer and a Permaseal intake and exhaust manifold gasket finish the list. The naturally aspirated RD28 and the intercooled RD28TI carry more of the same family stock.
