Toyota 2C Engine Parts

The Toyota 2C is a 2.0 litre diesel inline four, 1,974cc from an 86mm bore and 85mm stroke. It is SOHC with eight valves, naturally aspirated, with swirl chamber indirect injection. Toyota fitted it from 1983 through the 1990s to the Corolla CE100, the earlier AE82 and AE92 series diesel Corollas, the Camry CV and the Tarago CR. The shelf holds 12 parts for it.

2C timing belt and tensioner pulley

The 2C drives its camshaft and injection pump with a timing belt, not a chain. An NVP belt set for the 1C and 2C, a belt alone and a tensioner pulley are listed. The pulley is titled as a chain tensioner, but the 2C has no chain. It is the belt tensioner pulley, so order it with the belt.

Bearings, thrust washers and ring sets

An NDC conrod bearing set, a main bearing set in 0.25mm undersize and a thrust washer set. All are shared with the 1C, the 1.8 litre with a smaller 83mm bore on the same stroke. A RIK ring set covers the 2C and the 2.2 litre 3C. A turbo ring set suits the 2C-T, the turbocharged version of the same engine.

Water pump and manifold gaskets
