Suzuki G13B Engine Parts

The Suzuki G13B is the 16 valve twin cam version of the 1.3 litre G13 four, 1,298cc from a 74mm bore and 75.5mm stroke. It is DOHC where the G13A and G13BA are 8 valve single cam, naturally aspirated and fuel injected. Suzuki fitted it to the Swift GTi SA413 and SF413 from 1986 through the 1990s.Stock for the G13B runs to 12 parts.

G13B pistons and ring sets

A piston set, an NVP piston and ring set in 1mm oversize and an NPR ring set for twin and single cam. The G13A is the 1,324cc engine on a longer 77mm stroke, same bore, so the rings cross over.

G13B main and conrod bearings

NDC main and conrod bearing sets and ACL main sets, listed across the G13A, G13B and G13BA because the journals are the same.

Head gasket, full set and water pump

A Permaseal head gasket, an NVP multifit full set and an NPW water pump. The G13B drives its cams with a timing belt, not a chain. Three titles here say SOHC 8 valve against the G13B code; that is G13BA fitment. An 8 valve set will not do the 16 valve GTi head, so count the valves before ordering.

An extractor gasket for the GTi SA413 and SF413 and a rocker cover gasket shared with the 1.6 G16A and G16B. The Vitara and Grand Vitara tags come from shared bottom end parts; those cars ran the 1.6 G16 instead.
