The Toyota 12R is a 1.6 litre pushrod inline four with eight overhead valves, carburetted and naturally aspirated. It is a bored-out 2R, the 1.5 of the same design, and Toyota built it from 1969 into the mid 1980s. It went into the Corona RT series, the Hilux RN, the Hiace RH and Toyota forklifts. 12R pistons, rings and bearings
The JCC piston set is 12R specific. The TP ring set is 1 mm oversize and covers the 12R and 12RU, so confirm the block has been bored before ordering. The main and conrod bearing sets cover the 2R and 4R as well. The 2R bore is 78 mm against 80.5 mm on the 12R, so pistons and rings do not cross. An NDC camshaft bearing set is also here. 12R timing gears
The 12R drives its camshaft by timing gears, not a belt or chain. Two OSK crankshaft timing gears are listed, one under the TTG14 number, and both are crank gears rather than cam gears.

One NPW water pump is listed and it fits the 2R as well.
