The Nissan A14 is a 1.4 litre overhead valve four, carburettor fed and naturally aspirated. It shares the 76mm bore of the A15 but runs a shorter stroke, and it is a bigger bore than the 73mm A12. Built from the mid 1970s into the early 1980s, it is filed under Nissan Sunny / 1200 for the Datsun 120Y and Sunny B310. There are 8 parts on the shelf.
Timing chain sets and tensioners
The A14 is chain driven, not belt driven. An NVP chain set with gears covers the A10, A12, A14 and A15. An OSK tensioner suits the same spread. The gears come with that set, so check whether yours are still good before you buy them twice.
Head and full gasket sets
A Permaseal head gasket is listed for the A14, with a KP full gasket set for the A14 and A15. A Manta extractor gasket covers the A14 and A15 in the Sunny and Stanza.
Bearings and pistons
NDC main and conrod bearing sets run across the A10 to A15 range, and a piston set is listed for the A14 on its own.
