Match the part to the engine, not the badge
Nissan fitted several engines to the same model, and parts do not cross between them. A GU Patrol could leave the factory with a TD42, a ZD30 or a petrol six, and the YD25 has early and late versions. That is why many titles here say Early or Late, or name a build such as YD25DDTi Spain Late.
Check the engine number before you order. If a title names a variant, such as the naturally aspirated timing cover for the late TD42, it only suits that variant. The TD42 and ZD30 pages list every part we carry for those engines.
YD25 timing chain parts
A good share of this range is YD25 timing gear, from the chains and guides to the tensioners, their bolts and the chain oil jet. A YD25 chain that rattles has usually worn its guides and tensioner too, so replace them together rather than fitting a chain on its own. Doing a full rebuild?
Start with a full gasket set, then add the seals it leaves out, such as the rear main or front crankshaft seal. Some sets are supplied without a head gasket, and the title says so. Which Patrol engines are covered?
Most listings suit the TD42 and ZD30 diesels, with a smaller selection for the RD28, TB45 and TB48, and the VK56 V8 from the Y62. If you cannot find your part, send us the engine number and we will look it up.
Can I buy genuine bolts and washers one at a time?
Yes, where Nissan supplies them that way. The VK56 head bolt is sold singly at $11.50 each. If a listing covers more than one piece, the title says so, as with the V9X turbo studs (2) and nuts (2).
