LDV Diesel

LDV Deliver 9 Diesel Tuning & Servicing

The LDV Deliver 9 is one of the most popular large vans and cab-chassis platforms with Australian fleets and owner-operators, and for good reason: it offers Sprinter-rivalling load space at a sharper price point. Underneath sits a 2.0-litre four-cylinder common-rail turbo-diesel, paired with an automatic transmission and driving a payload-focused chassis. It is a hard-working commercial van, and like every modern diesel that does its real work around town, it responds well to proper tuning and disciplined servicing.

Across the model run there are two distinct driveline generations. Earlier 2020-2023 Deliver 9 vans run the Euro 5 110kW/375Nm 2.0L turbo-diesel with a six-speed automatic, DPF and EGR. From the 2024 update the engine was lifted to a Euro 6 128kW/420Nm tune behind a ZF eight-speed automatic, with SCR/AdBlue after-treatment added alongside the DPF and EGR. Knowing exactly which generation you have matters, because the tuning approach, emissions hardware and common faults differ between them.

At Willy’s Workshop we work on the Deliver 9 as a diesel performance and mechanical specialist, not a generalist. Whether you run one van or a whole fleet out of Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, we tune, service and repair the Deliver 9 in-house at our Oxley and Warana workshops, with every tune developed and dyno-verified on real hardware rather than copied from a generic file.

Engines We Tune

LDV Deliver 9 diesel engines we tune

2.0L Turbo-Diesel (Euro 5, 2020-2023, 6-speed auto)
110 kW / 375 Nm
Common-rail 2.0L four with DPF and EGR; the stop-start city work these vans do leads to EGR valve/cooler soot build-up and DPF blockage, both of which we clean and regenerate rather than delete.
2.0L Turbo-Diesel (Euro 6, 2024-on, ZF 8-speed auto)
128 kW / 420 Nm
Updated higher-output engine behind a ZF eight-speed auto; adds AdBlue/SCR after-treatment alongside the DPF and EGR, so SCR dosing, sensor and crystallisation faults join the usual carbon-related diesel maintenance.
Tuning & Servicing

Why choose Willy’s for your LDV Deliver 9

Performance Tuning

Custom, dyno-verified ECU tuning developed in-house on your factory ECU

  • Custom remap of the factory ECU, written and tested in-house for your exact Deliver 9 variant (Euro 5 110kW or Euro 6 128kW) rather than a generic off-the-shelf file.
  • Sharper throttle response and stronger mid-range torque where a loaded van actually needs it, smoothing out the laden, around-town driving the Deliver 9 spends its life doing.
  • Tuning calibrated around the heavy payloads and automatic transmission so power delivery stays driveable, drivetrain-safe and consistent under load.
  • Every tune verified on the dyno before the van leaves us, with before-and-after results you can see, plus the ability to revert to the factory calibration.

Servicing & Repair

Full mechanical servicing and diesel system repair for the Deliver 9

  • Logbook-style scheduled servicing that protects your warranty, with genuine and quality-equivalent filters, oils and consumables suited to hard commercial use.
  • DPF diagnosis, forced regeneration and cleaning, plus EGR valve and cooler decarbonising to clear the soot and carbon build-up these stop-start city vans are prone to.
  • AdBlue/SCR system diagnosis and repair on 2024-on Euro 6 vans, covering dosing faults, sensors and crystallisation issues.
  • Common-rail injection, turbo, cooling and driveline diagnostics, plus fleet servicing scheduled to minimise downtime for businesses running multiple vans.

FAQ

LDV Deliver 9 diesel FAQs

How much does LDV Deliver 9 tuning cost, and is it worth it?
Pricing depends on which engine you have and what you want from the van, so we quote each Deliver 9 individually after confirming the variant and reading the ECU. For a loaded commercial van that spends its life around town, the value is in sharper response and stronger, more useable mid-range torque, which most operators feel immediately when towing or running near payload. Contact us at Oxley or Warana for a quote based on your specific van and how it’s used.
Will tuning my Deliver 9 void my factory warranty?
Modifying the ECU can affect the driveline portion of your factory warranty, and that is worth weighing up, especially on newer vans that carry LDV’s longer warranty cover. Because our tuning is done on the factory ECU, we can return the van to its original calibration if needed, for example before a dealer visit. We’ll talk you through the trade-offs honestly before any work starts so you can make an informed call.
Can you delete the DPF, EGR or AdBlue system on my Deliver 9?
Removing or disabling emissions equipment such as the DPF, EGR or AdBlue/SCR system is illegal for road-registered vehicles in Australia and we don’t do it. What we do instead is fix these systems properly: DPF cleaning and forced regeneration, EGR decarbonising, and AdBlue/SCR diagnosis and repair, so your Deliver 9 runs cleanly, stays compliant and passes its emissions hardware checks.
What performance gains can I expect from a Deliver 9 tune?
Gains vary between the Euro 5 110kW/375Nm and Euro 6 128kW/420Nm engines, and we never quote a fixed number before we’ve tested your van. What we focus on is real-world driveability: stronger mid-range torque, sharper throttle response and more consistent power delivery under load. Every result is measured on our dyno so you can see the actual before-and-after for your van rather than a marketing figure.
Which Deliver 9 engines and model years do you tune and service?
We cover the full Deliver 9 range. That includes the 2020-2023 Euro 5 2.0L turbo-diesel (110kW/375Nm) with the six-speed automatic, DPF and EGR, and the 2024-on Euro 6 2.0L (128kW/420Nm) with the ZF eight-speed automatic plus DPF, EGR and AdBlue. Tell us your build year and we’ll confirm exactly which driveline and emissions setup your van has.
How do I book, and how long does the work take?
Book by phone or through our website for either our Oxley (Brisbane) or Warana (Sunshine Coast) workshop. A scheduled service is typically a same-day job, while custom tuning usually means leaving the van with us for the day so we can develop and dyno-verify the calibration properly. For fleets we schedule multiple vans to keep your downtime to a minimum, so let us know your operating hours when you book.
