HiLux Dual Battery Fitted at Warana
We supply Custom Lithium dual battery kits for the N70, N80 and N90 HiLux and fit them at our Warana workshop. The lithium battery sits on a tray against the back wall of the cab, behind the rear seat, so the tub and canopy stay clear.
Three kits, one for each HiLux generation
Custom Lithium makes a separate behind-seat kit for each HiLux shape, and they are not interchangeable. All three come with a mounting tray and a choice of 100Ah, 200Ah or 230Ah Ultra Slim lithium batteries. None of them include a wiring kit.
- N70 (KUN26, 2005 to 2015). Behind-seat tray and battery. See the N70 kit.
- N80 (2016 to 2024, including the 48V HiLux). The tray takes a 100Ah to 200Ah battery plus one DC-DC charger, a shunt and fuses. The vent behind the tray has to be altered. See the N80 kit.
- N90 (2026 on). The tray takes a 100Ah to 230Ah battery. The charger, shunt and fuses only fit on the tray with the 100Ah battery. Two factory modules on the rear wall are moved to sit in front of the battery, and the vent is altered. See the N90 kit.

What fitting at Warana includes
Our auto electrician at Warana does the full install:
- Seat and trims out so we can get to the back wall, plus the vent change on the N80 and N90 and the module move on the N90
- Tray and battery mounted and secured so they cannot shift on corrugations
- Cable run from the starter battery to the DC-DC charger, sized for the length of the run
- Fuses at the battery ends, the charger mounted, and a monitor or shunt connected if you have one
- Trims refitted, then the charge rate and voltage checked at the second battery with the engine running
The kit price does not cover a DC-DC charger or monitor unless you add one. We can supply a Redarc or Victron charger or fit yours. See our auto electrical page for the rest of what we do.
