Jeep Gladiator Dual Battery Fitted at Warana

The kit is a Slim lithium battery, in 100Ah or 200Ah, with a mounting tray made to sit under the rear seat. These are Custom Lithium Slim batteries, not the Ultra Slim used in the behind-seat ute kits.

To fit the tray, the factory gun casing under the rear seat has to come out. That storage is gone once the battery is in, so plan for that before you buy. The tray is also sold on its own as the Gladiator battery tray ($299.00) if you already have a battery. The kit does not include a wiring kit. See the Gladiator kit.

Custom Lithium recommends a qualified auto electrician fits it, and notes that some vehicles need small changes depending on the variant. We check the kit suits your Gladiator before you order.

Our auto electrician at Warana does the full install:

• Rear seat up and the factory gun casing removed
• Tray mounted under the seat and the battery secured on it
• Cable run from the starter battery to the DC-DC charger, sized for the run, with fuses at each battery end
• Charger mounted, and a monitor or shunt connected if you have one
• Seat back down, then the charge rate and voltage checked at the second battery with the engine running

The kit does not come with a DC-DC charger unless you add one. We can supply a Redarc or Victron charger to suit, or fit yours. Our auto electrical page covers the lights, fridge and accessory wiring we also do.
