General Questions


Q: What vehicles do you work on?

A: We work on a wide range of diesel vehicles, including 4WDs, utes, touring vehicles, towing setups, commercial vehicles and trucks. We focus on proper diagnostics and practical performance,  whether it’s a daily workhorse, a weekend off-road rig or a fleet vehicle. Our aim is to improve the reliability of your vehicles.

Q: Do you only work on diesel vehicles?

A: Yes, diesel is our focus. That means we’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We specialise in diesel servicing, repairs, diagnostics, tuning and upgrades, so you’re dealing with a team that works on diesel platforms day in, day out.

Q: Where is Willy’s Workshop located?

Willy’s Workshop services customers across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. If you’re not sure which location suits you best, get in touch and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Q: Do I need to book in advance?

A: We do recommend booking ahead. That helps us make sure we’ve allowed the right time for your vehicle according to the services that you’re looking for.


Diesel Tuning


Q: Is diesel tuning safe for my vehicle?

A: Done properly, diesel tuning should improve how the vehicle drives without compromising the way it’s meant to be used. The key is making sure the tune suits the vehicle, its setup and what you actually use it for,  whether that’s towing, touring or day-to-day driving.

Q: Can you tune for towing?

A: Yes. Towing is one of the most common reasons customers come to us for tuning. A well-matched tune can improve drivability, torque delivery and how the vehicle responds under load, especially when you’re towing a caravan, trailer or heavy setup.

Q: Will tuning affect reliability?

A: A good tune from a diesel workshop should support usable performance, not chase numbers for the sake of it. We focus on real-world results and a setup that suits the vehicle, so the goal is stronger drivability and better performance without turning it into a hand grenade.


Servicing and Repairs


Q: Do you service diesel 4WDs and trucks?

Yes. We service diesel 4WDs, utes, work vehicles and trucks, with a focus on keeping them reliable for the way they’re actually used. That includes everything from routine servicing through to fault-finding and more involved repair work.

Q: Can you diagnose fault codes and performance issues?

A: Yes. If your vehicle is down on power, throwing fault codes, going into limp mode or just not driving the way it should, we can diagnose the issue and work out what’s actually causing it with proper diagnostics.

Q: Do you work on DPF, turbo and injector problems?

A: Yes, we regularly deal with common diesel issues including DPF-related faults, turbo problems, injector concerns and other performance or drivability issues. If something feels off, we can inspect the vehicle and help you work out the best next step.

Trucks and Commercial


Q: Do you work on larger trucks?

A: Yes. Willy’s Workshop is set up to work on larger diesel vehicles as well as 4WDs and utes. If you’ve got a truck that needs servicing, repairs, diagnostics or performance work, get in touch and we can talk through what it needs.

Q: Do you service fleets or commercial vehicles?

A: Yes, we work with commercial vehicles and fleet operators who need dependable servicing and repair support. The focus is always on keeping vehicles on the road, minimising downtime and making sure the work suits how those vehicles are used in the real world.

Q: Do I need to book in advance?

A: Yes, we recommend booking ahead. That helps us allow the right time for your vehicle based on the work required.

Q: How do I book in?

A: You can get in touch through the website, give us a call or send us an enquiry with your vehicle details and what you need help with. From there, we’ll point you toward the right service and arrange a booking time that suits.

Q: Do you provide quotes before starting work?

A: Yes, we aim to be upfront about the work required and the likely costs involved. If the vehicle needs diagnosis first, we’ll let you know that before moving ahead so you’re not left guessing.

Q: Can you inspect my vehicle before I buy it?

A: Yes, we can carry out a pre-purchase inspection to help you get a clearer picture of the vehicle’s condition before you commit. It’s a smart move if you want to avoid buying someone else’s expensive problem.
