Engine tuners are small electronic devices that help improve the performance of your diesel engine. They attempt to ‘tune’ your engine to your specific needs as a driver. This is not the case at all and for the reasons below do not recommend them, We only recommend a full ecu remapping service.
Tuners are the easiest way to both increase power, fuel efficiency and improve engine performance, Although we do not recommend them at all, as they are not a custom remap to suit your car. We only flash the factory ecu, so we can fully control all of the factory parameters for any particular engine, while still maintaining any safety guards and warning systems. Many of these plug and play tuners trick your car into seeing factory values, while actually pouring fuel into the engine. This will give you a power increase to the vehicle and a perceived increase in torque at the expense of possibly blowing up your engine. We have removed countless piggyback systems after engine failures, and then performed the ecu remapping service at our workshop.
The end result every time is an increase in power, more torque, less fuel and a better turbo diesel vehicle all around. At the same time as the rebuild we can also offer upgrades to improve reliability.
Diesel fuel additives are meant to clean your injectors & fuel lines. They can also help keep your engine running at its best. The most common issue with diesel vehicles is that they don’t get enough lubrication. The additive you add to the fuel will help prevent fuel system issues – especially if you think you may have gotten a bad batch of fuel!
